The Behaviormetric Society (BMS) is an organization of professionals interested in quantitative approaches to research in human cognition and behavior. (The society name was changed to THE BEHAVIORMETRIC SOCIETY from September 1, 2016.) The main purposes of the Society are to develop and apply quantitative methods in various areas of human science, to facilitate communication among researchers in the field, and to contribute back to society.

BMS was founded in Japan, and has recently concluded reciprocal agreements with the Psychometric Society to exchange tables of contents of Psychometrika and Behaviormetrika.
